Gary Parr Stephens of Ringgold, Georgia passed away on July 23, 2026 at the age of 78. He was born on April 29, 1948 to Jack & Jessie Stephens. Gary graduated from Purdue University and was a proud member of the Phi Sigma Kappa fraternity. He spent his professional life in construction sales and had a successful career. He found joy in spending time with family and friends and cruising in his 1967 Mustang. He was a member of an Antique Car Club, Chickamauga chapter and enjoyed car shows and road trips.

Gary was preceded in death by his parents Jack and Jessie Stephens, sister Sherry Piccirilli and in-laws Franklyn and Helen Flanagin.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his beloved wife Janice (Flanagin) Stephens of 57 years, loving sons Brian (Cari) Stephens and Marc Stephens, loving niece Angela (Dave) Stachelski, adored grandchildren Addison Stephens and Alexandra Stephens, Jude Stephens, Payton and Jacob Stachelski along with extended family and many dear friends.

Visitation will be Saturday, September 5, 2026 from 11:00 am until the time of his celebration of life at 1:00 pm at Schroeder Lauer Funeral Home with Deacon Jim Renwick officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Hospice Care Center of Chattanooga in Gary's honor. He will be greatly missed and forever remembered.
