With peaceful hearts and eternal hope, we announce the passing of Frieda Stob on August 31, 2025, at the age of 98. A devoted servant of Christ, Frieda went home to be with her Lord and Savior, whom she loved and faithfully followed throughout her life.

Born on June 20, 1927, Frieda lived a life rooted in faith, family, and service. She was the beloved mother of Donna Snyder, Joyce Mielcarek, Terri Medendorp, and Larry (Terry) Medendorp, and a devoted grandmother and great-grandmother. Her days were marked by prayer, quiet strength, and the deep assurance that her life was held in God's hands.

Frieda was preceded in death by her husband Peter Stob, and by loved ones Larry Medendorp, Chris Snyder, Jason Snyder, Aaron Snyder, and Andrew Mielcarek. While she grieved their earthly absence, her heart remained anchored in the promise of eternal life through Jesus Christ.

She is survived by her children, her grandchildren Luke Snyder and Lindsay Carr, and her great-grandchildren Courtney, Adrianna, Jayden and Landon, along with many other loved ones who were blessed by her godly example.

Frieda's life was a testimony to the grace and goodness of God. She modeled a quiet, steadfast faith—reading her Bible daily, lifting her family in prayer, and serving others with humility and love. Her home was a place of peace, her words filled with wisdom, and her hands always busy blessing others.

Though our hearts are heavy, we rejoice in knowing that Frieda is now in the presence of the Lord, reunited with those who have gone before her and welcomed into the eternal joy of Heaven.

A private family service will be held to celebrate Frieda's life and faith. In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations to be made to Munster Church in her memory- 214 Ridge Rd. Munster, IN 46321
