Frank Serafin, age 85, of Lansing, IL passed away peacefully on Friday, July 14, 2023. Frank was the last survivor of his 15 siblings. He is proceeded in death by his beloved wife Ruby (nee Bultima) ) His parents John Z. Serafin and Marianna ( nee Zaucha)  Serafin, and his siblings Maryanna Serafin, Ladislaus Serafin, Helen (Frederick) Redell, Sophie (Martin) Vuksinic, Mary Serafin, John (Genell) Serafin, Joanna( John) Putzell, Josphine Serafin , Florence (Sylvan) Harrell, Julia (Ray) Karling, Jospeh Serafin, Stanley Serafin, Theodore Serafin, Antoinette Serafin, Baby Serafin, and Marja Serafin. Frank leaves behind many nieces, and nephews, and special friends Mary Sue, and Tom. Frank was born and raised in Burnham, IL, and has lived in Lansing, IL since 1965.  He was a proud member of the Carpenter Union Local #  272.

Friends may visit with Frank's family on Monday, July 24, 2023 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Schroeder-Lauer Funeral Home, 3227 Ridge Road, Lansing, Illinois with A Celebration of Life immediately following in the funeral home chapel with Deacon Jim Renwick officiating. Frank will be laid to rest next to his wife Ruby at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery, Calumet City, Illinois.

Frank enjoyed and took great pride in fixing things both at work and at home. He had a knack for looking at something that needed to be fixed and before you knew it, it was fixed. He truly had a talent and he shared his talent whenever people needed help. Frank also enjoyed taking care of his plants and flowers both inside his home and outside in his yard. Frank ALWAYS had paper and pen in his hand and was always ready to communicate with people. He was loved by many and he will be truly missed.
