Florencia Spejewski (Elizondo), age 86 of Lynwood, Illinois passed away on Tuesday, April 2, 2024.  She is survived by her loving children Anna Garcia, Carlos Jr. (Elsie) Garcia, Rene (Velia Maria) Garcia, Robert (Kathleen) Spejewski, Edward Jr. Spejewski, and Sharon Bathgate. She was a cherished grandmother to 18 and to numerous great-grandchildren. Florencia is also survived by her sisters, Imelda Tovar, Petra Munoz, Amalia Hernandez and Jane Elizondo. Florencia was proceeded in death by her husband Edward Spejewski and her daughter Maria Lopez.

Florencia enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She resided in Lynwood, Illinois where she enjoyed pampering herself and enjoyed life to her fullest. She loved playing bingo and enjoyed watching the Cubs! She also enjoyed keeping in touch with her grandchildren because they filled her heart with joy. Florencia will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Friends may visit with the family at All Souls Catholic Parish (St Ann's church) 3010 Ridge Road, Lansing, Illinois on Monday, April 15, 2024 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, with a Mass of Christian Burial immediately following with Father Mark Kalema officiating. Florencia will be laid to rest at Calumet Park Cemetery and Funeral Chapel, 2305 W 73rd Ave, Merrillville, IN. Schroeder-Lauer Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements and care of Mrs. Spejewski.
