Florence Barkowski (nee Schulze) age 93 of Burnham, IL, passed away on Wednesday, September 9, 2026. She is survived by her children: Mary Cramer and Brian F. Barkowski; grandchildren: Jason (Emily) Barkowski, Nicholas (Laken) Barkowski, Brandon Carouso, and Breanna Nemeth; and eight great grandchildren. Florence was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 64 years: Claude J. Barkowski; parents: William Joseph and Florence (nee Kenny) Schulze; daughter, Susan Barkowski, son and daughter-in-law, Steven J. and Debbie Barkowski; and siblings: William, Thomas, Francis, Edward, James, John, Lori, and Patricia.

Friends are invited to visit with Florence’s family on Saturday, September 26, 2026 from 1:00 – 5:00 PM at the Schroeder-Lauer Funeral Home, 3227 Ridge Rd., Lansing, IL. The Celebration of Life service will begin at 5:00PM in the funeral home chapel with Deacon Jim Renwick officiating.
