Esther Krawczyk age 76 of Calumet City, Illinois passed away on Tuesday, February 6, 2024. She was born on September 24, 1947, in Chicago, Illinois to John Pizano and Balentina (Jimenez) Pizano. Esther is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Leonard Krawczyk, her children and their spouses, Marie Pizano, Michelle (Espinoza) Nichols, Lisa Krawczyk-Wilson, and Leonard Krawczyk Jr. Esther is also survived by her brothers, John Pizano, Louis Pizano and; Tom Pizano. Preceded in death by her parents, her sister and best friend Alice (Pizano) Wigsmoen, her brother Gilbert Pizano and her grandson Antonio Duarte. Esther was a loving grandmother and a motherly auntie to many nieces, nephews, and close family friends.

Esther's passion for children and the arts motivated her volunteer work with the Muscular Dystrophy Association, Child Find Inc. for Missing and Exploited Children, Boy Scout Troop 507, Calumet City Historical Society and the "Picture Lady Program" at the local public schools her children attended.

The Krawczyk family welcomes friends and loved ones to pay their respects at Schroeder-Lauer Funeral Home, 3227 Ridge Rd., Lansing, IL on Sunday, February 18, 2024, from 2:00 to 6:00 PM a service to commemorate Esther's life followed by an opportunity for friends to share remembrances will take place at 5:00 PM.
