Ernesto Loza Martinez, Age 83 of Lansing,IL, Passed away in his home on Saturday July 9th. He is survived by his four children: Alma Loza (Benjamin) Hurtado, Ernesto Loza Jr., Maria Loza (Allen) Stock, and Jessica Loza (Drew) Bentley. Also surviving are his grandchildren: Erica Hurtado, Stephanie Loza Barragan, Marissa Loza Ooka, Cassandra Loza, Ernesto Loza III, Taesa Stock, Cheyanne Stock, Del Bentley, Halen Bentley and his great grandchildren: Michael Hurtado, Gisele Hurtado, Mikayla Hurtado, Nevaeh Hurtado, Isabella Hurtado, Joel Hurtado Jr., Alejandro Barragan, Isaiah Loza, Destiny Loza, Enrique Loza, Alexis Ooka, Purity Ooka, Jared Ooka Jr., Riley Ooka, Grayson Ooka, Julieta Loza, Rosalina Loza, and Annalisia Loza. Ernesto is also survived by his sisters: Maria Loza Flores and Maria Del Carmen Loza and numerous nieces and nephews. Ernesto was preceded in death by his Beloved wife of 63 years: San Juanita Loza. His mother: Epifania Martinez and His father: Emilio Loza His brothers: Jose Loza, Emilio Loza Jr., Jesus Loza and his sisters: Rosa Loza Maldonado, Juanita Loza, Grandson: Joel Hurtado and granddaughter: Amaya Hurtado.
Friends may visit with Ernesto's family on Thursday, July 14, 2022 at the Schroeder-Lauer Funeral Home, 3227 Ridge Road, Lansing, Illinois from 2:00 to 8:00 PM. Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 15, 2022 at the funeral home, beginning with closing prayers at 9:30 AM then proceeding to St. Ann Catholic Church, 3010 Ridge Road, Lansing, Illinois for a 10:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial with Father Mark Kalema officiating. Cremation to follow.
Ernesto was a retired auto mechanic. He loved his family, cars, old western movies and playing with his children and grandchildren. Ernesto was a devoted husband, loving father, a fun and loving grandfather, a caring uncle and a good friend to us all. He will forever be missed by his family and all of those who had the chance to know him.
