Ellen loved to travel with friends, to visit friends in other states, and on her own. She especially enjoyed cruises. She loved concerts, following her favorite musicians, and collecting pretty things. Ellen attended First Baptist Church of Lansing while growing up. She would tell you that at seven years old, Jesus drew her to Himself and that He died on the cross to save her from her sins so that today she is enjoying eternal life with Jesus in heaven. Later, Ellen attended Suburban Bible Church in Highland, IN for several years, before attending Covenant Presbyterian Church in Hammond, IN and finally First Church. She is grateful for all the help and care her church family and her brother, Ron, gave to her during her illness.
While Ellen loved flowers, in lieu flowers, please consider a donation o Samaritan's Purse or the American Breast Cancer Foundation. Schroeder-Lauer Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements and care of Ellen. www.schroederlauer.com
