Eileen Marie Libb passed away on September 15, 2022 at the age of 66. She battled a myriad of serious medical issues in recent years yet showed courage and determination in facing these challenges with a smile. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She was born to Leslie and Therese Liesenfelt on March 14, 1956. After graduating from Thornton Fractional South High School, Eileen went on to work in corporate operations in downtown Chicago. It was there that she met her husband, William Libb. Together, they had one daughter, Allison.

Eileen's love for people and welcoming nature led her to a longtime career in hospitality, where she made countless friends in both colleagues and guests. She loved to be out and about, enjoying everything from a simple errand to meals out, concerts, travels to locations like San Diego and Aruba, and any opportunity to spend time with her long-time friends, most notable her best friend Carol. She loved fiercely and was a doting dog-mom. She was ecstatic at the arrival of her only granddaughter, Keaton Scoles in August of 2021. Though short, her time as a grandma brought her immense joy.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, her mother, her father, and her faithful furry companion, Izze. She is survived by her daughter, Allison, son-in-law, Matthew, granddaughter, sisters Carol Bartels and Linda Eason, Floyd Fairfield (uncle), nieces, nephews, in-laws and cousins, and her dog Baxter.

A visitation service will be held from 9am-12pm on Friday, September 30 ^th at Schroeder-Lauer Funeral Home, 3227 Ridge Rd., Lansing, IL, followed by a burial service at Assumption Catholic Cemetery in Glenwood, IL.
