Earl Tobin, age 94 of Lansing, IL, passed away Friday, November 29, 2024. He is survived by his wife Elizabeth Tobin. his daughter Barbara (Dennis) Herlitz, grandchildren: Laurie Tuttle, Michelle Osburn, and Jennifer Bennett; and great-grandchildren: Bella Osburn and Mason Osburn; and nieces and nephews.  Earl was preceded in death by his mother Dorothy and his father Earl M Tobin, his sister Sue (late Wesley) Hoffner; daughter Debra Tobin, and son Robert Tobin.

Friends may visit with the family on Thursday, December 5, 2024 at the Schroeder-Lauer Funeral Home, 3227 Ridge Road, Lansing, Illinois from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM with services immediately following with Pastor Bob Neuman officiating. Earl will be laid to rest privately at Elmwood Cemetery, Hammond, Indiana.

Earl worked for many years at Union Carbide as a metallurgist. He was an avid golfer and photographer, and he enjoyed vacationing in warmer climates, especially Florida and Texas. He enjoyed watching sports broadcasts of all kinds and was an avid reader.  He will be deeply missed. www.schroederlauer.com
