Donna Lynn Kuiken of Lansing, Illinois passed away at her home on Tuesday, March 29, 2022. Donna was born in Harvey, Illinois on May 31, 1959, the daughter of Cork and Alice Kuiken. Surviving are her sister and brother-in-law Cindy and Dr. Milton J. Smit and brother and sister-in-law, David and Bonnie Kuiken, beloved friend Chris Beaulieu and her children Cate, Johnny and Emily, special aunt Jan Wohlwend and several nieces and cousins. Preceding her in death are her parents and nephew Joel D. Kuiken.

Donna grew up in South Holland, Illinois, graduated from Thornwood High School and Thornton Community College (now South Suburban Community College). She was an outstanding athlete, playing basketball and softball in high school and college. She received the Collegiate All American award and recognition in college. After graduation Donna was a quarterback in touch football and played softball in the Calumet Park District. She was a huge Cubs and Bears fan. Donna worked for the USPS for 31 years as a mail carrier. She loved her job and all those she delivered mail to loved her dedication and appreciated her faithful service.

A celebration of life for Donna will be held at the Schroeder-Lauer Funeral Home, 3227 Ridge Road, Lansing, Illinois from 10:00 AM to 12 Noon on Saturday, April 9, 2022. Donna will be laid to rest at All Saints Cemetery, Bourbonnais, Illinois on Monday, April 11, 2022 in a private service at 10:00 AM with Rev. Joseph P. Paglia officiating. Donna was loved by many and she will be truly missed. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in Donna's name to the Humane Society of American and or the South Suburban College Woman's Athletic Scholarship Fund would be appreciated.
