Donna L. Eckerstrom (nee Groen), age 70 of Crown Point, IN, formerly of Glenwood, IL and Roseland, IL, went home to her Heavenly Father on Tuesday, March 29, 2022. She is survived by her beloved husband of nearly 50 years: Carl Eckerstrom; daughter: Kim (Jason) Thompson; and three grandsons: Luke, Isaac, and Jude. Also surviving is her mother: Margaret Groen; sister: Wanda (Jon) Cowan; and brother: Steven (Grada) Groen.

Funeral services for Donna will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, April 5, 2022 at Bethel Church, 3500 Glenwood-Lansing Rd., Lansing, IL. Friends are invited to visit with Donna's family on Tuesday from 9:00 – 11:00 AM. Donna will be laid to rest in Oak Ridge Cemetery in Lansing.

Donna was a long-time member of Bethel Church. She had worked in data entry for an accounting firm in Chicago. She was an avid reader and she loved to sing. Donna was a member of many choirs including the Apollo Chorus of Chicago. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Donna's to Bethel Church.
