Delia Garcia (nee Cadena), age 63 of Lansing, IL, passed away on Wednesday, December 22, 2021. She is survived by her five children: Larisa Magana, Andres Cadena, Maricella (Eddie Lewis) Garcia, Rafael Garcia Jr, and Yesenia Garcia and eleven grandchildren: Antonio Tomas Magana, Alejandro Manuel Magana, Anahi Liliana Magana, Kary Aguilar, Nathaniel Cadena, Elianna Cadena, Jocelyn Lewis, Emily Garcia, Jaxon Cadena, Andres Cadena Jr., and Jacob Cadena. Also surviving are seven siblings: Areli Moreno, Bertha Castillo, Dalia Cadena, Rosalinda Cadena, Dora Cadena, Jose' Cadena, and Jesus Cadena; and her ex-husband: Rafael Garcia. Delia was preceded in death by her parents: Jesus and Alejandrina (nee Flores) Cadena, and brother: Oton Flores.

Friends are invited to visit with Delia's family on Tuesday, December 28 from 3:00 – 8:00 PM at the Schroeder-Lauer Funeral Home, 3227 Ridge Rd., Lansing, IL. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 28 at 10:00 AM at St. Casimir Catholic Church, 4340 Johnson Ave., Hammond, IN. Delia will be laid to rest in Assumption Cemetery in Glenwood, IL.

Delia was a member of St. Casimir Catholic Church in Hammond, IN. She retired as Data Entry Specialist in the Adult Education and Literary Program at Prairie State College in Chicago Heights, IL. She loved to cook and barbeque, and especially enjoyed decorating for the holidays. She was a loving and supportive mother and grandmother and will be missed by her family and friends.
