Debra L. Slimko (nee Schroeder), age 61 of Calumet City, IL, passed away on Wednesday, June 2, 2021. She is survived by her beloved husband of 35 years: Michael; two sons: Kevin Slimko and Kyle Slimko; sister: Patti (Mark) Best; nieces and nephews: Sarah (Chris) Nelson, Matthew (Kelly) Magurany, Carl Myers, and Jay Myers. Debra was preceded in death by her parents: Edwin and Delores (nee Eisenach) Schroeder; and sister: Annette Myers.

Friends are invited to visit with Debra's family on Tuesday, June 8 from 2:00 – 7:00 PM at the Schroeder-Lauer Funeral Home, 3227 Ridge Rd., Lansing, IL. Her funeral service will be at 6:00 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Debra's name to the American Diabetes Association, 2451 Crystal Dr., Ste 900, Arlington, VA 22202.

Debra worked for 28 years as an operator for ATT. Most recently she was the Secretary/Treasurer for CWA Local 4250. She was a part of the KNITphomaniacs and love to knit. And she was a Chicago Bears, Sox, and Blackhawks fan.
