Deborah Fay Fritz (nee Hockenberry), age 71 of Hammond, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, July 20, 2023. She is survived by her beloved husband: Raymond; daughter: Brandie (Joseph II) Krajacic; son: Clayton (Stacie) Fritz; grandchildren: Shelbie Fritz, Kaitlin (Shawn) McAfee, Lawrence Krajacic, Hannah Holloway, Jordin Henman, and Colton Fritz; and great grandson: Dean McAfee. Also surviving is her brother: Lester (Betty) Hockenberry; and numerous nieces and nephews. And her special furbabies: her dog - Danger, kitty - Wishes, and puppy - Archie. Deborah was preceded in death by her parents:  William "Larry" and Nancy (nee young) Hockenberry; and Rebecca Curry.

Friends are invited to visit with Deborah's family on Wednesday, July 26 from 10:00 AM – 12:00 noon at the Schroeder-Lauer Funeral Home, 3227 Ridge Rd., Lansing, IL. The funeral service will begin at noon with Pastor David Atkinson officiating. Deborah will be laid to rest in Cedar Park Cemetery in Calumet Park, IL.

Deborah baked fabulous cakes and would make on for anyone who asked. She enjoyed the program Murder She Wrote, she was an avid collector, and loved all things Hallmark and Disney. And her favorite restaurant was Cracker Barrel.
