David W. Swanson, age 75 of Lansing, IL, formerly of Cleveland, OH, went home to his Lord and Savior on Friday, July 5, 2024. He is survived by his beloved wife of 51 years, Sandra (nee Nolting); daughter: Lisa Burleson; sons: Aaron (Jennifer) Swanson and Tim Swanson; and six grandchildren: Jordan Burleson, Jessi Burleson, Jodee Burleson, Zoe Johnson, and Ava Johnson; and sister: Karen Rieker. David was preceded in death by his parents: Axel and Billie Swanson.

Friends are invited to visit with David's family on Friday, July 12 from 10:30 AM to 12:00 noon at St. John Ev. Lutheran Church, 18100 Wentworth Ave., Lansing, IL. His funeral service will begin at 12:00 noon in the church sanctuary with Pastor John Richy officiating. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial donation's in David's name to St. John Lutheran Church.

David had served for several Lutheran Schools in the greater Chicagoland area for over 50 years, including St. Peter's Lutheran School in Joliet, IL, Salem Lutheran School in Homewood, IL, and St. John's Lutheran School in Lansing where he both taught and served as principal. David was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend and he will be dearly missed.
