David William Malone, age 69 of Lansing, IL, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Wednesday, September 16, 2020. He is survived by his three children: Nancy (Mark) Kaleta, Brian (Sarah) Malone, and Steven Malone; five grandchildren: Ashley, Kimberly, and William Kaleta, and Emma and Ceccila Malone. Also surviving are his siblings: Dee (late Dennie) Cluck, Ginny (late Phil) Guillen, Kenneth (late Brenda) Malone, Evelyn (Warne) Stauss, and brother-in-law: John (Carole) Bakker. David was predeceased by his beloved wife: Henrietta Malone.

David retired in August 2007 after working for the U.S. Post Office in Chicago for 37 years as a Mail Handler. He then became a crossing guard for the Lansing Public Schools. He was an active member of Village Church in Dyer, IN. He loved watching comedy movies and listening to Country and Gospel music. David also had three dear friends he enjoyed being with: Rob Brooks, Corrine Daniel, and Dave Sprankle.

Friends are invited to visit with David's family on Monday, September 21 from 3:00 – 8:00 PM at the Schroeder-Lauer Funeral Home, 3227 Ridge Rd., Lansing, IL. Face masks and hand sanitizer will be available at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 22 at 11:00 AM at the funeral home with Pastor Steve Miller from Village Church officiating. David will be laid to rest next to Henrietta in Oakridge Cemetery in Lansing.
