Daniel Schultz, age 88 of Calumet City, IL, passed away peacefully at Powers Community Hospital on Tuesday, July 7, 2026. He is survived by his loving children: Debbie Plevo, Danette (Bob) Gabe, Dave (Kelly) Schultz, Darla Schultz, and Darcie (Dan) Gresham. Also surviving are numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and many friends whom he dearly loved. Dan was preceded in death by his parents: Max and Frieda Schultz, his beloved wife: Arlene, and daughter: Dalene Schultz.

Dan loved the Green Bay Packers, Chicago Cubs, camping, fishing, boat races, model trains, and tinkering with small engine repairs. Dan also liked to be call "George". We than you, God. For Blessing us with Dan for 88 years of love and companionship. He was a great Husband, dad, grandpa, and great grandpa.

Friends may help celebrate Dan's life with the family on Saturday, July 25, 2026 at the Schroeder-Lauer Funeral Home, 3227 Ridge Rd., Lansing, IL, from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM with at Celebration of Life service beginning at 1:00 PM ion the funeral home chapel. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Dan's name to the American Kidney Foundation, Catholic Charities, or Unity Hospice Palliative Care.

Dan (George) was loved by many and will be truly missed.
