Daniel Rellis Jr. passed away after a life defined by dedication, accomplishment, and love. He built a long and successful career in the steel making industry and earned recognition as a respected international consultant.

Even after retirement, Daniel stayed active and engaged. He pursued his passions for golf, fishing, and woodworking, and continued to share his expertise through consulting. He actively supported his alma mater's hockey team, the Michigan Tech Huskies. Everyone who knew him admired his energy, enthusiasm, and craftsmanship.

Daniel leaves behind his beloved wife, Penny, with whom he shared 57 wonderful years of marriage; his three children, Elizabeth, Daniel, and Joseph; and seven cherished grandchildren, who filled his life with joy.

Family and friends will remember him for his warmth, wisdom, and unwavering devotion to those he loved. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 1, 2025, from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm at Schroeder-Lauer Funeral Home, 3227 Ridge Rd., Lansing, IL 60438.
