Cynthia Hope, age 67 of Lansing, Illinois, passed away on January 5, 2025. She was born August 2, 1957 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Chester and Jean Marciniak. Cindy will be lovingly remembered by her husband Dean and son Jacob. She will also be deeply missed by her family members: Brother Thomas (Jo) Marciniak, Brother Chip (Cindy) Marciniak, Sister Kathy (Mike) Quinlan, Brother-in-law Neal (Janice) Hope and Brother-in-law Tom (Lynn) Hope. She will be lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews.
Cindy graduated from Bowen High School in 1975. After graduation, she worked at Chicago Title and Trust for many years. She did an in home daycare for 15 years. She also worked as a parish secretary at Our Lady of Peace in Chicago and Infant Jesus of Prague in Flossmoor, Illinois. Cindy was deeply involved in her faith and commitment to her parish, All Souls (St. Ann.) She was a Catechist for 20 years, a Eucharist Minister,Head Sacristan, and she headed the Altar Servers Ministry for the last 12 years. FINALLY, she was a fervent Green Bay Packers Fan.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, January 14, 2025 at Schroeder-Lauer Funeral Home, 3227 Ridge Road Lansing, Illinois from 3:00-7:00 PM. Funeral services for Cindy will be held Wednesday, January 15, 2025 at the Schroeder-Lauer Funeral Home with prayers beginning at 9:30 AM then proceeding to (All Souls Catholic Parish) St. Ann Catholic Church, 3010 Ridge Road, Lansing, Illinois for a 10:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial. Cindy will be laid to rest at Holy Cross Cemetery in Calumet City, Illinois.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (stjude.org)
