Corrine Hope Smith (née Gordon), 94, of Dyer, Indiana passed away peacefully in her home on January 20, 2024 with her family by her side. She is survived by her loving children: Linda (Frank) Hobart of Chattanooga, TN, Carol (Robert) Seeman of New Lenox, IL, Ellen Valovcin (Jerry) of Hixson, TN, Peggy (Ernie) Demeter of Melbourn, FL, Dawn (Carl) Hoeksema of Glenwood, IL and Joseph Smith II, with whom she resided until her passing in Dyer, IN, Corrine was a cherished grandmother of 14 great grandmother of 25. Also surviving are many loving nieces and nephews. Corrine was preceded in death by her loving husband of 53 years, Joseph Edward (2001), 5-month, pre-born baby boy and brothers, Harold and Donald Gordon, and sister, Mary Ellen Knight.

Corrine was a member of Glenwood Bible Church in Glenwood, Illinois for most of her life and served as a Sparks Club Director in the AWANA children's ministry there for many years. She also spent many years teaching children's Sunday School classes.

Friends may visit with the family at the Village Church, 14849 W. 93rd Street, Dyer, Indiana on Monday, January 29, 2024 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM. Services will begin at 5:00 PM with Pastor Steve Miller officiating. After the service friends are invited to visit with the family until 8:00 PM. Corrine will be laid to rest at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, Illinois
