It is with sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Connor Mizner, 26, late of Lansing and formerly Highland, Indiana. Connor will be deeply missed by his mama, Sandy Oppelt Mizner; brother, Caden Mizner; grammy, Lynn Mizner; and auntie, Melissa Teller. Connor was preceded in death by his dad, Chris Mizner.

Connor lived for his music. It spoke to his soul, and he embraced it fully in his lifestyle, the shows he attended, his spirit flying free as he danced and spun in the pit, stepping in on vocals when invited. He was a kindred spirit to many in the scene, his camaraderie and enthusiasm touching so many lives. His friends were his greatest joy, and with his outgoing personality, caring soul and great big heart, he was the kind of young man who had friends everywhere, both close to home and around the world.

For us, the world is a little colder today, but we are comforted in the knowledge that he is resting easy in warmth and light beside his dad.

Visitation will be held Sunday, October 26, from 2pm – 6pm at Schroeder-Lauer Funeral Home in Lansing.
