Cliff Surdyk, age 74, of Lansing, IL, passed away on Friday, December 27, 2024. He is survived by his brother, Bruce (Janice) Surdyk; former wife and mother of his children, Beth (Chris) Dangelo; his son, Danny (Laura) Surdyk; his daughter, Jackie (Dave) Campbell; his grandchild, Louie Surdyk; his nephew, Kevin (Trisha) Surdyk; and Jennifer (Tim) Mahaffey. Cliff was preceded in death by his mother, Betty Surdyk; his father, Claire Surdyk (late Emma Bomba); and his brother, Tim Surdyk.

Friends may visit with the family on Friday, January 17th, 2025 at the Schroeder-Lauer Funeral Home, 3227 Ridge Road, Lansing Illinois from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM.

Cliff was known for his kindness and unwavering support of his family and friends. In his early years, he answered the call of duty when he was drafted into the Army, serving during the Vietnam War.  Later in life, when he wasn't spending time with loved ones, he could often be found working at Wickes Furniture or behind the wheel of his Lincoln Town Car. He spent many Sundays at his dad's house and carried on that same tradition with his son and grandson.  Cliff embraced a simple life, finding joy in spending time with his son and daughter. His love for life extended to the moon, the stars, and the small joys—such as never finding a color he didn't like. He also loved reading and watching the Chicago Bears.  Though the pain of losing Cliff is immeasurable, his legacy of love, joy, and an appreciation for life's simple beauty will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him. www.schroederlauer.com
