Cheryl Rauwolf passed away peacefully on December 14, 2023 at age 73. Cheryl was born on March 6, 1950 in Hammond, IN to parents Edmund and Joan Banach. She graduated at Elizabeth Seton High School. During High School, she worked as a car hop at the A&W in Lansing, IL. After graduating, she worked for Zurich Insurance Company in Chicago, IL. Later, she worked at Menards in Dolton, IL for 27 years before retiring in 2021. Cheryl was a beloved mother and grandmother. She always cared for and supported her family and friends. Cheryl enjoyed being in their company and always welcomed people into her home. She loved to laugh and had such a fun sense of humor.

Cheryl was an animal lover whether it be pets, her own or others, or wild animals as she loved nature. She enjoyed gardening and admiring the view of flower gardens. She always talked about her visits to Florida and spoke of how she loved the ocean.

She is survived by her children, Scott Kintz, Robin Kintz, and Joe Kintz; grandchildren Kacey Kintz, Collin Kintz (Tara), Kaitlyn Kintz, Jacob Kintz, Cole Kintz, and brother Mark Banach (Marge). Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance and to celebrate Cheryl's life on Sunday March 24, 2024 open house from 1 pm – 5 pm with a blessing and prayer at 2 pm at the American Legion Post 485 on 7485 Burr Street, Schererville, IN.
