Bruce H. O'Neil 63 years young, of Lansing, IL quietly left us behind in June, 2024.  He is survived by brother-in-law Todd Reichert of Webster, TX and nephews Brett Reichert of Austin, TX and Ryan Reichert of Indianapolis, IN.  Bruce is preceded in death by his wife Tamara O'Neil (Reichert) and his parents, Bill and Marian O'Neil.

Bruce was a loving and devoted husband. Bruce and Tamara were married 25 years. Bruce shared a passion with his wife Tamara for the education of special needs kids. Bruce was a retired Teacher's Aid helping special needs kids attend mainstream school. He was an avid reader and book collector. Bruce and Tammy loved to travel the country and visited nearly every Presidential Library. Bruce was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army as both enlisted and commissioned.

A celebration of Bruce's life will be held at Schroeder Lauer Funeral Home located at 3227 Ridge Road, Lansing, Illinois on Saturday, August 17, 2024 from 1:00 to 3:30 PM with services immediately following with Deacon Jim Renwick officiating.  Bruce and Tamara will be laid next to each other at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood Illinois.  In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Lung Association www.lung.org would be appreciated. Bruce was loved by many and he will be truly missed.
