Beverly Etta Potts, age 89 of Lansing, IL, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 8, 2024 in Fayetteville, NC. She was surrounded by love from her children who were holding her hands tightly as she entered into Everlasting Life. Beverly enjoyed cooking and baking special treats for her family and friends. The greatest gift you could ever receive from her was a tin full of her famous cookies.

Beverly's biggest accomplishment was her children. She filled with pride when she would tell others about the fact that each of her children served in the military. Pictures of family and friends surrounded Beverly in her room, and she felt blessed by all the extraordinary people in her life. She loved to receive a thoughtful card and appreciated phone calls from her loved ones to discuss a recipe, a Cubs baseball game, or Duke's basketball scores.

Beverly is resting easy now surrounded by loved ones, an assortment of beautiful flowers, and radiant cardinals. She was predeceased by her parents, Ted and Elvira Tinberg, brother Ted Tinberg, sister Dolores, son Jeff Wilkerson, and her grandson, David Craig. She is survived by her brothers and sisters: Dorothy Jaime, Marge Kemp, Virginia Kinsey, Art Tinberg, John Tinberg, and Linda Loftus. Also surviving are her beloved children: JoAnne Craig, Jayne Galbreath, Robert Potts, James Potts, and Laura Hoffman, along with 13 grandchildren and over 20 great-grandchildren.

Friends are invited to visit with Beverly's family on Friday, March 15 from 3:00 – 7:00 PM at the Schroeder-Lauer Funeral Home, 3227 Ridge Rd., Lansing, IL. Her funeral service will be on Saturday, March 16 at 9:00 AM at Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church, 2505 Indiana Ave., Lansing, IL. Beverly will be laid to rest in Oak Glen Lutheran Cemetery in Lansing.
