Betty Marie Wendling, age 94, of Saint John, IN, passed away at home in Hospice on Sunday, May 30, 2021. Betty was born in Springfield, Ohio to Flora Marie Gray & Raymond Thurl Gray. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 52 years, Henry F. Wendling.Betty also preceded by her siblings: Loretta, Chuck, Ruth, Carol, Ray, Polly, Kathy, & Gretta. Betty is survived by her daughter, Lori Costenaro, and son-in-law, Jack Costenaro. Also her three Grandchildren: Daniel Costenaro, David Costenaro, and Sara (Costenaro) Sjoquist. Along with three Great-Grandchildren: Dylan Sjoquist, Lucy Sjoquist, and Evie Costenaro.  Aunt Betty has many nieces and nephews which would fill up this whole page!

Funeral services for Betty will be held on Saturday, June 5, 2021 at 11:00 AM at the Schroeder-Lauer Funeral Home, 3227 Ridge Rd, Lansing, IL, with Pastor John Richy officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 9:00 AM until time of service. Betty will be laid to rest at Chapel Hill Gardens South in Chicago, Illinois. Do to the distance there will be NO formal procession to the cemetery, we will be meeting at the cemetery at 1:00 PM for a graveside service. For those wishing to a ttend, we will be meeting just inside the front entrance of the cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make a memorial donation in Betty's name to St. John's Lutheran Church, Lansing, IL.
