Obituary

Betty Ann Boer, age 86 of Lansing, Illinois went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, April 2, 2023. She is survived by her loving children Patricia (Mike) Fischer, Wayne (Regina) Boer, and Glen Boer. Cherished grandmother of Joshua Boer and Julie (Drew) Gutierrez and great grandmother of Ava, Logan and Gianna Gutierrez and Jacob Wayne Boer. Betty is also survived by her sister-in-laws and

brother-in-laws including: Vi Triezenberg, Pete Boer, Art and Eleanor Boer, Theresa Boer, Ann and Tom Staggs, and Gary Bos and many loving nieces and nephews. Betty was preceded in death by her husband and best friend of 66 years Jacob, and her parents John and Henrietta (nee Tanis) Triezenberg. Also, her two brothers, three sisters and many brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws.

Betty will be laid to rest at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, Illinois. A committal service will be held on Thursday, April 6, 2023 at 10:00 AM. Those who wish to attend, please be at the cemetery no later than 9:45 A.M.

Betty was a lifelong member of First Church PCA, serving the Lord as a member of the choir and serving up coffee time with the Fellowship Committee after morning services. Not only was she a loving wife, mother and homemaker, she worked 60 years plus for Avon selling door-to-door, where she was able to win many trips for her and Jacob to take, including twice to Hawaii which was their favorite. Betty was loved by many and she will be truly missed. Schroeder-Lauer Funeral Home has been entrusted with Betty's care and arrangements.
