Barbara Ann Lehnert (nee Skinner), 88, of Schererville, IN formerly of Lansing, Illinois passed away on September 24  2024 of complications from a stroke.  Barbara was born on October 7, 1935, in Chicago, IL, attended Catholic grammar school and graduated from Mercy High School in 1953. Some of Barb's favorite memories include spending her childhood summers with her parents and brother at Lake Delavan, Wisconsin. She loved her family, lived her life simply, and looked at all things with the perspective of her faith in God.

Barbara was preceded in rest by Ralph, her beloved husband; her parents, Arthur and Anne Skinner; and her brother, Arthur (and his wife Phyllis).

Barbara is survived by her two children: daughter Mary C. Schelinski (Jeff) and her daughters Katie (James) Bizik and Emma; and son Nicholas J. Lehnert and his sons Taylor (Amanda) and Cory (Candice). She is also survived by her great-granddaughter Natasha (Taylor and Amanda) and future great-grandson Alexander (Cory and Candice) arriving in January, 2025, as well as many nieces and nephews whom she loved and cherished very much.

A visitation for Barbara will be held on Tuesday, October 1, 2024 DIRECTLY at All Souls Parish (St. Ann Catholic Church), 3010 Ridge Road, Lansing, Illinois from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM. Barbara will be laid to rest next to her husband Ralph at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Worth, IL.
