Arthur Francis Skinner, 93 of Lansing, IL, passed away of natural causes on Saturday, January 20, 2024. Arthur was born on August 12, 1930 in Chicago, IL, graduated from Leo High School in 1948, joined the Marine Corps in 1950, and Local 134 of the IBEW in 1957. Arthur was preceded in rest by Phyllis, his beloved wife of 66 years, 8 months, and 10 days and his parents: Arthur and Anne Skinner.

Arthur is survived by his five children: daughter Laura J. (Skinner) Krolak, her spouse Randy and children: Kevin and Kelly; daughter Patricia A. (Skinner) Baker, her spouse Michael and their child: Zane; daughter Susan L. (Skinner) Gonzalez, her spouse Richard and their children: Nathan, Marlene, and Levi; daughter: Kimberly T. (Skinner) Warburton, her son John; and son: Arthur J. Skinner, his spouse Ingrid and their children: Sara and Jacob. Also surviving are five great-grandchildren, sister: Barbara Lehnert, sister-in-law: Bessie Gorman Bouska, sister-in-law: Nedra Theodore, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to visit with Arthur's family on Friday, January 26 from 3:00 – 8:00 PM at the Schroeder-Lauer Funeral Home, 3227 Ridge Rd., Lansing, IL. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 27 beginning with 9:30 AM Prayers at the funeral home and proceeding to St. Ann Catholic Church, 3010 Ridge Rd.,Lansing, IL for a 10:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial. Arthur will be laid to rest next to his beloved Phyllis in Oakland Memory Lanes in Dolton, IL.

Arthur loved football, fishing, woodworking, the Marine Corps, and above all, wished for a large family, a wish God saw fit to grant. His love for his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren was legendary. Never a birth, big game, or graduation passed without Arthur's presence; and few kind, reassuring words. He loved large, but lived humble, so few people truly knew the depth of wisdom, mirth, and compassion that lay behind his infectious smile.

From the Halls of Montezuma, to the Shores of Tripoli; the likes of Arthur F. Skinner will not soon again grace this Earth.
