Anthony R. (Tony) Perovich, age 74 of Lansing, IL, passed away at home on Thursday, April 23, 2026, surrounded by his family and friends. He is survived by his wife, Maureen Grady-Perovich; daughters: Erica Perovich, Julie Perovich, and Kristy (Ted) Shaw; son: Gregory Perovich; sister-in-law, Lucy Perovich; granddaughters, Maegan and Cameron Shaw; Aunt Beverly (Wally) Perko; and; numerous brothers/sisters-in-law, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Tony was preceded in death by his parents: Anthony F. and Doris (nee Glavin) Perovich and his brothers; Rick and Michael.

Friends may visit with the family to celebrate and remember Tony's life on Sunday, May 3, 2026 from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM at the American Legion, 18255 Grant St., Lansing, IL 60438. Blessings will at 6:15 PM.

Tony was a Veteran of the United States Army (1971 – 1973), attaining the rank of Specialist E-4. He was stationed at Fort Lewis, Washington, where he served as a Military Policeman. Tony retired from the Lansing Police Department in 2001 after 24 years of service. He served many roles at LPD including Patrol Officer, Detective, Evidence Technician and his favorite, partnering with K-9 "Duke".
