Anna Thys (nee Wories), age 94 of Lansing, IL, formerly of Groningen, The Netherlands, went home to her Lord and Savior on Thursday, March 21, 2024. She is survived by her children: Rolf (Sandy) Thys and Elona (Robert) Rhoda; eight grandchildren: Christyne (Josh) Novak, Brad (Sara) Thys, Kyle (Karen) Thys, Jessica Thys (Matt Cody), Katelynn Sorrell, Adam Rhoda, Matthew (Felicia) Rhoda, and Emily Rhoda. Also surviving are her 11 great grandchildren with Wyatt Cole to join the family in April; her older brother Jack Wories, and numerous nieces and nephews. Anna was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Roelof; parents Adam and Rhea Wories; and sister: Tiny Romanchuck, and brothers: John, Peter, and Bert Wories.

Friends are invited to visit with Anna's family Wednesday, March 27 from 10:00 AM – 12:00 noon at Munster Christian Reformed Church, 214 Ridge Rd., Munster, IN. Her funeral service will begin at 12:00 noon with Pastor Jim Hollendoner officiating. Anna will be laid to rest in Oak Ridge Cemetery in Lansing. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her name to Mobility Ministries Inc., 12352 N 550 W, Wheatfield, IN 46392 or The Salvation Army.

Anna emigrated from The Netherlands in 1953. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend of many and she will be missed.
