Alana J. Konieczka, age 58 of Glenwood, IL, passed away on Tuesday, May 23, 2023. She is survived by her mother: Judy Konieczka; two brothers: Ed (Melanie) Konieczka and John (Diane) Konieczka; two sisters: Mary (Darren) Soucie and Kath Konieczka; numerous nieces and nephews; and her beloved dogs: Thunder and Rambo. Alana was preceded in death by her father: Edward Konieczka.

Friends are invited to visit with Alana's family on Friday, May 26 from 3:00 – 8:00 PM at the Schroeder-Lauer Funeral Home, 3227 Ridge Rd., Lansing, IL. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 27 beginning with closing Prayers at 9:30 AM at the funeral home and proceeding to St. Ann/All Souls Catholic Parish, 3010 Ridge Rd., Lansing, IL for a 10:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial with Father William McFarlane officiating. Alana will be laid to rest in Holy Cross Cemetery in Calumet City, IL.

Alana had a big heart for all dogs. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her name to Jellystone Bark's Rescue Rangers in Kentucky, https://jellystonebarksrescuerangers.com/ or the animal rescue/shelter of your choice.

Alana was self-employed. She was a member of St. John Catholic Church in Glenwood; president of the Friends of the Library for the Glenwood Library; she was an avid Chicago Bears and Cubs fan; and she loved softball and bowling. She loved her family and friends and will be missed.
