Richard Hale, age 77 of Lansing, IL, passed away on Saturday, September 1, 2012. He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Dolores (nee Lasaro); daughter: Debbie (Frank) Vanautreve; grandchildren: Eric Vanautreve, Stacey (Greg) Vanautreve-Gosciejew, Jeffery Vanautreve, Nicole, Ricky and Terri Heineman; numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and sisters and brothers-in-law. Richard was preceded in death by his sons: Richard and Robert Heineman; brothers: Edward Heineman and Frank Hoffner; and grandson: Jason Vanautreve.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 6 at 11:00 AM at the Schroeder-Lauer Funeral Home, 3227 Ridge Rd., Lansing, IL. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Calumet City, IL. Friends are invited to visit with the family on Wednesday, September 5 from 3 – 8 PM at the funeral home.
Richard was a retired warehouse manager of American Technical Publishing Inc., where he had worked for 25 years. He was an avid Bears and Bulls fan and enjoyed working with wood. He also enjoyed working on cars and could get any car up and running smoothly. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends and all who knew and loved him.
